Slow Road
Yesterday I spent the day on the lake at my Mom's. We went for a pontoon ride and just hung out. It was nice to change my surroundings.
Tomorrow and Wednesday I return to Chicago for a bone marrow biopsy and labs. This biopsy is a big one. It will determine if whether or not all the cancer cells have been destroyed. So, naturally we're all hoping for a positive outcome.

Hi there, how did your visits in Chicago go? In Cape Town it takes quite a few days to get results from the biopsy, how long does it take on your side? It must be an extremely stressful time for you emotionally, hope you are surviving. Steven goes for his biopsy on Wednesday to see if the past 3 chemo sessions have done the trick yet. We are not prepared for a bad result, dont think we could cope with more results that say the cancer is not in remission! So, its good news or no news....wishful thinking, i suppose we'll just have to deal with whatever gets thrown our way. We had a relatively normal weekend, with visits to friends and to our favourite restaurants. Steven goes back to bonemarrow unit on wednesday for his 4th round of chemo. Thinking of you lots at this time of your results, Love Alison
